The Milligan College men's soccer team lost in the first round of post season play to Covenant College 2-1, wrapping up their fall season.
The Buffs and the Scots posted an even 14-14 for shots during the game. Senior goalkeeper Bryan Newbold (Sylva, NC) totaled nine saves, while the Covenant keeper had five.
“We proved what we were capable of doing in short spurts during the game, but if you can't manage to put together an organized and intense effort at this point in the season then it's going to cost you,” said Head Coach Adam Laney. “The year ended a little sooner than we would have liked, but it's going to end sometime.”
