Freshman forward Josh Wise (Berkeley Springs, WV/Berkeley Springs) and senior forward Gregory Khan (Mt. Pleasant, Tobago/Bertille St. Clair) each scored goals to lift Shepherd University to a 2-0 win over Washington Adventist University in men’s soccer action at Washington Adventist on Tuesday evening.

Shepherd improves to 4-4-0, while Washington Adventist falls to 2-5-0.

Wise scored on a header at the 2:44 mark on an assist from senior midfielder/forward Michael Sprague (Front Royal, VA/Warren County/ Lord Fairfax CC).

Khan added an unassisted tally at the minutes later and the Rams held on for the shutout.

Washington Adventist had an 18-to-17 advantage in shots and a 7-to-4 edged in corner kicks.

Freshman goalkeeper Derek Munro (Williamsport, MD/Williamsport) had seven saves for the Rams, while Jonathan Uribe recorded five saves for the Storm.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Pitt Johnstown for a 2 p.m. contest.
