Cumberland men’s soccer players Robert Boyd earned First Team All-TranSouth honors and Robert Als garnered Second Team accolades, as announced by the conference office.

Boyd led the Bulldogs with seven assists this season and added a pair of goals for 11 points. The junior contributed a pair of assists and recorded helpers in the final three matches of the season. The San Fernando, Trinidad, native scored once in a 3-2 loss to Martin Methodist and netted the game-tying goal in a 2-1 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan.

Als posted four goals and four assists for 12 points. He scored all four of his goals in the first four matches of the year, one each versus Emmanuel College and Virginia Intermont and two against Harris-Stowe State. The San Fernando, Trinidad, native tallied assists versus Faulkner Univ., Harris-Stowe, Mid-Continent and Kentucky Wesleyan.

It marks the first All-TranSouth honor for both Boyd and Als during their three-year tenures at Cumberland.
