The University of Charleston men’s soccer team led all teams with four selections to the Daktronics Atlantic All-Region Team, as announced Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles, the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) tournament champions, claimed three First Team selections in forward Dion Peters (Trincity, Trinidad/EL Dorado Secondary), midfielder Rob Vincent (Liverpool, England/Prescot School)and goalkeeper Sean Teepen (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills High School). Peters led the WVIAC with 10 goals in the regular season and Vincent was the WVIAC Player of the Year and team captain. Teepen finished the season as one of the toughest goalkeepers to score on in all the country allowing just 0.83 goals per game with an .817 save percentage.

The versatile midfielder/defender Ryan Osborne (Wakefield, England/St. Wilfrid's CHS) was named to the Second Team for Charleston after recording five goals and five assists on the season.

The No. 6 ranked Golden Eagles finished the season with an overall record of 15-4-1, while going 8-1 in the West Virginia Conference and collecting regular-season and tournament WVIAC Championships.

All three First Team selections will now move on to the national All-American voting ballot to be released early next month. Peters and Vincent were 2009 All-American selections and look to make it back-to-back years.
