After leading the Boston University men's soccer team to victory at Holy Cross with two goals, senior captain Stephen Knox has been named the America East Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

The senior midfielder, who last earned weekly accolades on Nov. 2, 2009, scored in the 10th and 66th minutes of the Terriers' 2-0 win, their first in a season opener since 2006.

A First Team All-Conference honoree last season, Knox now has 27 career points on eight goals and 11 assists in 53 career games.

The Terriers will next travel to No. 21 Monmouth on Thursday (Sept. 1) before hosting St. John's on Saturday (Sept. 3) at 7 p.m. as part of the fifth annual Terrier Tailgate.
