Trincity Nationals eked out a hard-fought 3-2 triumph over House of Dread as action in the new season of the Eddie Hart Football League continued at the Eddie Hart Savannah in Tacarigua last weekend.
In Group One, Robert Alexis, Alfie James and F Jeremy netted for Trincity Nationals, while Anthony Noel notched a brace for House of Dread, who were coming off a 3-1 win over Small Stars last Wednesday.
In action from Group Two on Saturday, Frontline Empire whipped last season’s quarter -finalists Pacemakers 5-2, with a double from Jevon Morris. Lorne Joseph, Keith Williams and Kareem Davidson tacked in the other goals for the winners.
Milton Wilson and Kerron Hernandez were the scorers for the losers. Meanwhile, 16 clubs will contest for the Premier Division title, from two groups. The top four teams from each category will advance to the quarter-final stage. MAASH International are the defending champions.
