LEADERS Harlem Strikers suffered a first league defeat in the Central Football Association (CFA) this season when going down 4-0 to St Mary's United, last Wednesday, at the Hugo Francis Recreation Ground (formerly Woodford Lodge), in Chaguanas.

St Mary's got off to a flier, taking a seventh minute lead through Andre Nicholas. Colin Lewis doubled the score in the 18th, and Ryan Frederick added the first of his two goals in the 34th as St Mary's coasted to 3-0 lead at the half. Frederick completed his brace in the 60th minute.

Harlem still lead the standing on 23 points from 10 matches—four points clear of Cunupia United. Enterprise Youths are third on 17 points but have played just nine matches, while Las Lomas have 16 points from nine matches.

Last Tuesday, Cunupia United beat Cap Off Youths 4-2 in the opening match of a Hugo Francis Recreation Ground double-header, and Enterprise Youths edged Leeds United 2-1. At the Edinburgh 500 Ground, Las Lomas United beat ADC Couva Sports 3-1.

Cunupia United's goals came from Anthony Noel (21st & 34th), Kevin Eastman (63rd ) and a 76th minute own goal. With their team trailing 4-0, Keon Paul (84th) and Emilio Smith (89th) netted for Cap Off Youths.

Meanwhile, Keswick McKenzie (4th), Kareem Beckles (34th) and Akeem Chang (89th) scored for Las Lomas in their win over Couva Sports, whose lone goal came from Jason Mills in the 49th minute.

And Darian Marshall got a 72nd minute winner to separate his Enterprise Youths team from Leed United. Nariba Jacob's 35th minute goal gave Enterprise a 1-0 lead, before Randy Harris equalised for Leeds in the 41st to see the teams balanced 1-1 at half-time.
