GEMS retained the Big Four title in the Churches Football League recently, after a 3-1 victory over West End at the Maloney Recreation Ground.

Neil Joseph netted a pair for GEMS, while Dacian John notched the other item for the back-to-back champs, who needed the win to overtake West End in the final standings.

Woodbrook AIC were too hot to handle for Cumuto, as they cruised to a 4-0 win courtesy items from Garvin John, Jason Morris, Lorenzo Lutchman and Ronnel Pinhiero.

Khandahar eked out a 2-1 win over Genesis, with Kevon Alexander and Kevon Alleyne finding the back of the net for Khandahar, while Genesis’ consolation strike came from Kenneth Brown.

And, in the most pulsating contest of the round, Cathedral FC edged Shekinah 7-6, via kicks from the penalty spot, after both teams battled to a 4-4 draw at the end of regulation time. In regulation time, Kurtis Simmons registered a hat-trick while Miguel Neptune netted once for Cathedral. Isaiah Waldron and Kendel Garcia each scored twice for Shekinah.
