Sheldon Small and Leon Alexander netted doubles for Signal Hill College and Bishop’s Hill School, respectively, but it was Small’s team emerging victors in the Tobago Zone RBTT InterCol semifinals at Shaw Park yesterday.


Signal Hill defeated Bishop’s 4-2 to advance to the zonal InterCol final to play Scarborough Secondary, who won its semifinal match beating Roxborough Secondary 3-1 in extra-time, in the second match of the double-header.

Small opened the scoring for Signal Hill in the 40th minute, and doubled three minutes later for Signal Hill to lead 2-0 at half-time.

Curtis Joseph netted for Signal Hill in the 62nd minute to make it 3-0,but Bishop’s,overplayed for most of the match, pulled one back in the 74th minute through Alexander, who scored again in the 81st minute.

But Roarke Benjamin netted Signal Hill’s fourth goal in the 84th to close the match.

The Scarborough and Roxborough match was a close affair, ending tied 1-1 at the end of regulation time.

Kevon Adams scored the opening goal in the 25th minute for Roxborough but Valton Brathwaite equalised in the 63rd.

Christopher Crosby netted a double in the 94th and 99th to earn Scarborough a berth in the final which will played on Thursday at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Tobago from 4 pm.
