SAN JUAN SENIOR Comprehensive and St Augustine will lock horns ,in a manner of speaking, in the East InterCol final next Friday, after winning their respective semifinal matches yesterday at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar.


The zonal champs, San Juan, made light work of Malabar Composite, beating 3-0 in the second match of a double-header.

By half-time , San Juan was leading 2-0 on goals by Kadeem Gibbs, and winger Kerry Daniel.

Elijah Manner, the zone’s top scorer, added another goal in the second half.

Lorenzo King, Daniel Joseph and Elton John were the scorers for St Augustine, who edged El Dorado 3-2 in the first semifinal.

Naparima stops Fyzo

Defending southern champions Fyzabad was knocked out at the semifinal stage yesterday by Naparima College at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella.

An 82 -minute goal by Sherlock Hilliare was the difference between the teams who battled fiercely for a position in the final against Vessigny.

Earlier, Vessigny defeated former southern powerhouse St. Benedicts College by a similar 1-0 margin, the goal coming through Kyle Williams midway through the first half.
