QUEEN’S PARK showed no sympathy towards Central Women over the weekend, as they inflicted a 22-0 beating in a TT WoLF (Women’s League Football) Game Day Six contest.

Ashlee Alonzo scored five, Afiya Cornwall notched a beaver-trick, while S Govia had a hat-trick.

Denise Tucker, Shadelle Fortune and Ami-toy Daniel each netted twice for the Parkites, while there were one apiece from Christine Rose, Brittany Farati, Moire Lindsay and Racine Romain.

League leaders Trincity Nationals maintained their 100-per cent record with a 11-2 hammering of St Augustine Juniors.

Kaydeen Jack scored a hat-trick, with items in the 36th, 65th and 86th minutes. Jennifer Lopez (10th and 62nd), Shanelle Warrick (14th and 67th) and Natisha John (24th and 80th) each scored twice, with Crystal Molineaux (44th) and Ranelle Pascall (59th) got the others for Trincity.

C Woods (21st) and Mia Mitchell (49th) were the goal-getters for St Augustine Juniors.

Kayla Taylor (24th), Ahkeela Mollon (36th) and Aaliyah Pascall (76th) got their names on the scoresheet as Club Sando got past Tobago Chicas 3-1. Tsainne Lender (39th) scored the consolation for Chicas.

Shanice Pierre and Shania Lewis found the back of the net as Defence Force edged Police 2-1. Minty Lewis was on target for Police.


Trincity Nationals, QPCC run riot

Un­beat­en lead­ers of the T&T Women's League Foot­ball, Trinci­ty Na­tion­als and sec­ond-placed Queen's Park Crick­et Club, were big win­ners when match­es con­tin­ued on Sat­ur­day and Sun­day.

At the Ed­die Hart Ground, Tacarigua, on Sun­day, Trinci­ty Na­tion­als made it four wins from as many match­es with an 11-2 ham­mer­ing of St Au­gus­tine Ju­niors, with Kay­deen Jack scor­ing a hat-trick while the trio of Jen­nifer Lopez, Shanelle War­rick and Natisha John scor­ing two goals each.

The duo of Crys­tal Mollineaux and Ranelle Pas­call added the oth­er goals for Trinci­ty Na­tion­als, who leads the ta­ble with a max­i­mum 12 points, two more than the trio of Queen's Park, St Au­gus­tine FC and Club San­do.

For St Au­gus­tine Ju­niors, win­ners of one of their five match­es, C Woods and Mia Mitchell got a goal each

The Parkites, who sit sec­ond on the ta­ble on goal-dif­fer­ence ahead of St Au­gus­tine FC and Club San­do, were in a more dom­i­nant mood and crushed cel­lar-placed Cen­tral Women 22-0, led by five goals from Ash­lee Alon­zo, a beaver-trick by Afiyah Corn­wall and three from Shau­nalee Govia at New Set­tle­ment Ground, Ch­agua­nas, while St Au­gus­tine FC slipped past Uni­ver­si­ty of T&T (UTT) 1-0 at Fred­er­ick Set­tle­ment Ground, Ca­roni.

In the oth­er match­es, Club San­do whipped To­ba­go Chi­cas 3-1 with a strike each from Kay­la Tay­lor, Ah­keela Mol­lon and Aaliyah Pas­cal at the Mt Pleas­ant Recre­ation Ground, while De­fence Force stunned host Po­lice, mi­nus top strik­er Anique Walk­er, 2-1 at the St James Po­lice Acad­e­my Ground, St James.
