CARNBEE/MT PLEASANT marched into the semi-finals of this year’s FA Cup in the Digicel-sponsored Tobago Football Association on an emphatic 3-0 shut out of Calder Hall at Canaan.

Darrel Baynes netted a double and James Thomas the other goal for the winners of Friday’s game.

But league leaders Stokelyvale squeaked past Hills United 3-2 in their quarter-final match-up at the Dwight Yorke Stadium.

Tyrone Manning scored all three for “The Vale” while Kandel Joefield got a consolation double for Hills.

It took penalty kicks to decide the third game between Bethel United and Charlotteville Unifiers, also played at the Dwight Yorke Stadium on Friday.

The Bethel men advanced 5-4 on penalties after the game was knotted up 1-1 at regulation time with Duane Marcelle scoring for the winners while Kevorn Woodley got Unifiers goal.

In A Conference action, Golden Lane FC shut out NLCB Mt Grace United 2-0 on goals by Kyron Grant and Azel Taylor at Plymouth ground on Saturday.

At the same venue Black Rock FC and Leeds United played to a 2-2 draw with Selvon Waldron and Kareen London scoring for Leeds and Michael Carrington notching a double for “The Rock.”

Moriah Youths joined Golden Lane at the top with a 2-0 victory over Bethel Uprising on goals by Keishon Nelson and Kevin Henry.

1976 FC Phoenix took the honours in the B Conference on Sunday with a 5-1 thumping of Goodwood United at Goodwood ground. Melvin Nero and Kenvern Marcelle scored two goals each and Brent Cruickshank got the other for the winners.

Also at Goodwood ground, Youth Stars United and Lambeau played to a 1-1 draw.

Jesse Martineau netted the Stars goal while Anson Campbell got the equaliser for Lambeau.

And Signal Hill United edged Mason Hall PYC 2-1 at their Signal Hill home ground.

Steffon Hector and Joseph Gaskin did the scoring for Signal Hill while Derrick Frederick got the consolation.
