GEORGIA United thwarted Roxborough Lakers 2-1 to register their first win of the season in the Premier Division of the Tobago Football Association (TFA), after going down 1-0 to defending champions Stokely Vale in their opening encounter.

Playing at home at the River Bank Oval in Mt St George on Wednesday, Deon Orr and Keron Phillips beat the opponents' custodian to secure the win for the 2008 champs.

Dyke Reid netted for Lakers, who were losing for the first time this season, following a 2-2 draw with their neighbours Charlotteville Unifiers.

Meanwhile, Lambeau United stopped Golden Lane 2-1 on Tuesday to move into second place on the standings of the First Division.

Arthur Moses and Alon Forester netted for Lambeau, who were winning for the second time from the same number of outings. Alester Joseph supplied the item for Golden Lane on the Table Piece Ground in Mt Pleasant.

NLCB Mt Grace United eased into third spot with a comfortable 3-1 triumph over Moriah Youths at home in Mt Grace on Tuesday. Brian Browne and Akeil Peterkin netted for the hosts, who drew their first game of the new season. The other item was an own goal.

Eldon Paul was on the mark for the losers. They were experiencing their second straight setback in as many affairs.

Youth Stars United moved into fourth berth with an 8-0 bashing of Mason Hall PYC at Dusty Park in Hope Village. Akeil Sterling scored four times, while there was one goal each for Areion Burris, Ryan O'Neil, Donnelle Edwards and Kodie Bascombe for the winners, whose record now stands at one win and a draw.
