TRINIDAD and Tobago Football Federation technical adviser Keith Look Loy has joined 13 football clubs from the Eastern Football Association calling for a new Annual General Meeting and elections of EFA executive committee.

The 2011 season of the Eastern Football Association kicks off this weekend with five matches slated to be played on Saturday, September 3rd. Carib FC, FC Maloney, FC Santa Rosa, Joe Public, Malabar FC, Prisons FC, St. John's United, Upper Santa Cruz, Valtrin United, and WASA FC will be involve in this year's competition.

1st FC Santa RosaPromoted 1st FC Santa Rosa claimed the first title at stake in this season’s Emerald Apartments & Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association competition on Sunday. This after Santa Rosa edged M&M Real Maracas 2-1 in the final of Vernon Bain Challenge Trophy at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya. Santa Rosa had substitute Christopher Young to thank for lifting the trophy when he latched onto a defence-splitting pass from national Under-17 captain Duane Muckett to score the winner.

When the Football Federation decided to change their format for the purpose of stepping in line with almost all of the recognised leagues internationally, it seemed a very positive step towards repairing some awkward situations whenever our national team needed to have the services of the overseas based players for friendlies and competitive matches.
