Eagles United, a new club, have taken the early lead in the Central Football Association (CFA) Premier League football competition after crushing St Mary's United 7-2 in their opening match, and then beating the well-regarded Leeds United 2-1.

Newly registered Club, Eagles United takes early lead in CFA Premier League Competition. The Enterprise Village team crushed St Mary’s United 7 -2 with goals from Glenwell John in the eighth and 12th minutes, Stephen Whiteman in the 25th, 40th and 69th, Dave Charles in the 65th and Seion Regis in the 70th.

Lezama fires Athletico to Eastern Football top
Kevin Lezama registered a second-half double to lead Athletico Sports Institute to an entertaining 3-2 win over FC Maloney in the Emerald Apartments & Plaza Eastern Football Assocaition Premier Division league on Sunday. Kareem Perry fired Maloney into an 18th minute lead which it held until the half. Four minutes after the restart, Lezama got Athletico level, but Linton Fraser regained the lead for Maloney in the 71st minute. Once again, Lezama replied for Athletico in the 73rd minute before Richard Goray snatched an 83rd minute winner.
CFA heads to arbitration
After a ruling by the Central Football Association (CFA) Appeals Committee against Strugglers, the CFA club will now be heading to arbitration.

St Mary’s United captured the Central Football Association FA Trophy after a 4-2 penalty kicks win over Strugglers in the final on Monday night at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva. Both teams had battled to a 0-0 draw at the end of the 90-minutes regulation time which was dominated by Strugglers.
