Cunupia Football Club, winners of the inaugural Hugo Francis Memorial Trophy earlier in the season, have now won a second piece of silverware in the Central Football Association.

On Thursday, Cunupia FC captured the Ramsingh's Central FA Trophy after edging Edinburgh 500 by a 2-1 margin on Thursday night at Hugo Francis Recreation Ground, (Woodford Lodge), Chaguanas.

All goals were scored in the first half. Cunupia ran up an early two-goal lead, and although Edinburgh 500 pulled a goal back through Atiba Alves in the 19th minute, they could get no closer.

Akeil James did the early damage for Cunupia when netting a pair of goals in the 7th and 14 minutes. In the second half, Edinburgh 500 pressed to pull level, but Cunupia FC remained steadfast until the final whistle.

Earlier on the night, Enterprise Youths FC took the third place with a 2-1 win over Las Lomas United. Mariba Jacob scored a brace for Enterprise Youths, scoring in the 29th and 56th minutes, while Las Lomas got a 90th minute consolation goal from Kareem Beckles.

Cunupia FC, Edinburgh 500 and Enterprise Youths FC have now qualified for the national FA Trophy competition.
