Darrien Gill helped himself to a hat-trick as former champions Carib FC stormed to a comfortable 6-0 demolition of Tunapuna Titans when the Eastern Football Association Premier Division second round of matches took place on Saturday.
Gill got his goals in the 32nd, 45th and 60th minute for the “Brewery Boys” while his cousin, Clyde Gill added a double, in the 65th and 74th, and Eric Roderick, the other on the stroke of full-time.
It was the first win in two matches for Carib, level at the top of the table on four points with T&T Prisons, who also got three goals from Ricardo Alleyne (36th, 48th, 60th) in its 3-1 whipping of Boss FC.
In the First Division, T&T Air Guard missed a chance to take sole hold of top spot after it was held to a 1-1 draw by Elements which got a 91st minute item from Akelo Britto to cancel out Darryl Jessop’s 45th minute opener.
