Richard Money has hinted he may play Hector Sam in tomorrow night's game against Manchester United. The Walsall boss was impressed by the triallist's performance in Saturday's clash against Albion. Sam is expected to train with the Saddlers today and may play a part against Sir Alex Ferguson's men.

Port Vale winger Chris Birchall could swap World Cup action in front of 46,000 for Tiverton Town and a few hundred fans tomorrow. The 22-year-old has been passed fit for Vale's pre-season tour to Devon following an operation on his fractured hand. Manager Martin Foyle will make a late decision on whether to include Birchall in tomorrow's friendly at Southern Premier League outfit Tiverton or save him for Saturday's game at League Two outfit Torquay. Birchall's last game was in Germany four weeks ago when he played for Trinidad and Tobago against Paraguay in Kaiserslautern.

Wrexham last night welcomed the arrival of "the most exciting winger in Trinidad" on a 10-day trial. Right-winger Josh Johnson, who was kept out of the Soca Warriors' World Cup squad by former Dragons' favourite Carlos Edwards, yesterday flew in from the Caribbean.

Micky Adams will assess the striker's fitness after taking holiday following his part in the World Cup with Trinidad and Tobago, but he is not expected to feature in tonight's trip to Halesowen. In a signing expected to be perhaps the crowning touch on making FC Dallas an MLS Cup contender, the club Wednesday announced the acquisition of Trinidad & Tobago goalkeeper Shaka Hislop. Hislop, who will likely join in the team in a few weeks, is expected to compete for the Hoops' No. 1 goalkeeper spot currently held by Dario Sala.
