Former England International Terry Fenwick will take charge as Head Coach of CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh with immediate effect. Fenwick, who has already arrived in Trinidad, returns to Jabloteh with a proud record, after he led the club to the League title back in 2001, before his fellow countryman Ricky Hill took over. Fenwick however, left the San Juan based club to go back home to Coach English First Division Club Northampton, but his tenure there was short-lived.

Terry Fenwick, will take over from assistant care-taker coach Michael Grayson, who took charge of the team for the first couple of matches, where Jabloteh battled to a goalless draw with Caledonia AIA Fire, and then lost to rivals W Connection 2-1.

Once the final terms and conditions have been agreed upon between the two parties, Fenwick will have no honeymoon period, as the League, is already in full swing—and then next month the first knockout tournament—the Pro League’s Pro Bowl is expected to kick off in the middle of May.

Fenwick is however, not perturbed by the challenges that lay ahead. The English born Coach told ‘ttproleague.com’, “I am eager to get started and resume where I left off when I was last here.”

“I had no reservations about rekindling the love I once shared with Jabloteh, and when I was contacted by the Club’s Chairman Jerry Hospedales, I was delighted and accepted the opportunity with open arms, as did not want to let Jerry down.”

Mr. Fenwick, who is no stranger to the T&T Pro League, continued, “I am looking forward to further establishing the groundwork I laid here when I left three years ago, and my immediate goals would be to get the team back to its winning ways and playing consistently and most importantly propel us back to the level of the Concacaf Club Championships.”

Jabloteh’s Chairman Jerry Hospedales welcomed Terry Fenwick back into the fold, saying, “There was no way we could have waited any longer, time was running out and the team needed a boost.”

“We had a couple coaching options in mind, but it would have taken too long for us to conclude a deal, so we felt that Terry was an ideal candidate to return at this stage, as he was the man that established Jabloteh as a footballing powerhouse in the region, and the board is confident that he has the capability to do it again.”
