Trinidad and Tobago’s Senior Women footballers pulled off a spirited comeback to secure their first three points of the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying round when they came from a  goal down to defeat Guatemala 2-1 at the BBVA Compass Stadium on Thursday.

Trinidad and Tobago’s senior women have found themselves in a must win situation against Caribbean rivals Guyana in Tuesday’s “final” CONCACAF group phase encounter after suffering a 6-0 defeat to Canada at the BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston on Sunday.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Senior Women’s team won their lone warm-up match before the start of the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying final round on Thursday when they defeated the Challenge S.C. Under 18 team of the Elite Clubs National League 2-0 at the Lindsay Lyons Sports Complex in Houston on Sunday.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Senior Women will look for a second straight victory when they face off with 2012 Olympics Bronze Medallists Canada in their second match of the 2016 CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying competition at the BBVA Compass Stadium from 5pm (3pm in Houston) on Sunday. Guyana faces Guatemala in the earlier game from 1pm.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Senior Women’s footballers have been engaging in double training sessions daily during their live-in training camp at the Lindsay Lyons Sports Complex in Houston.
