Trinidad and Tobago’s National Futsal Men will be aiming to shake off their two recent losses to CONCACAF champions Costa Rica as they seek a place in the final round of qualification for the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup which takes place in Colombia later this year.
Trinidad and Tobago’s National Futsal team suffered their second defeat to Costa Rica when both teams met in a friendly at the Liceo de Curridabat on Friday night. Following the 6-0 defeat on Wednesday, T&T got on the scoresheet this time through Ishmael Daniel but were outscored 6-1 by the reigning CONCACAF champions.
“The preparations have been going good so far, even better than this time around than previously. We have more players involved and more time. The coach has had a good amount of time to implement what he wants,” Balthazar said.
He is one of the four members of the National Futsal team that plays professional 11v11 football but he is beaming with pride on the opportunity to represent the country in an international tournament.
