Daysean Edwards and Christian Young each scored a double when league leader La Horquetta SA whipped Carib FC 4-1, over the weekend as action continued in the Eastern Football Association (EFA) Premiership Division, over the weekend.
La Horquetta, in its second season, has taken the league by storm with a rich run of form, which has left several more established teams trailing in the dust.
Edwards took the lead in the 15th minute, only for Carib to find an equaliser on the half-hour mark through Jeremy McSween. Half time ended with both teams equal.
However, it was a completely different story in the second as La Horquetta dominated with a further three goals. WASA FC, the only remaining unbeaten team, but with almost as many draws as wins, kept tabs on the leader with a 2-0 win over minnows Boss FC.
In the First Division, Arima Arawak Combined soared back to the top with an easy 2-0 win over Sparta TT FC. Kevin John and Canias Wilson were both on target in the first half. T&T Airguard remains joint leader, despite not playing over the weekend.
