Former Pleasantville Senior striker Nikeisha Noel bangs in eight goals in her first game of the new season.

EMCC sophomore Nikeisha Noel began the 2009 season by scoring an amazing eight goals in the team's 12-0 season-opening win over East Central.  She scored a goal and had two assists in Saturday's 5-5 tie against Copiah-Lincoln.

Noel, who prepped at Pleasantville Senior High School, was an NJCAA All-Region 23 player as a freshman in 2008 and ranked among the national leaders in goals scored and scoring.  She is an All-American candidate this season with hopes of continuing her soccer career at a four-year university in the U.S.

For the EMCC men's soccer team, sophomore Leonardo Reyes has scored five goals in the team's first two matches of the season.  Reyes, from Arima, prepped at Hillview College.

Also for EMCC, sophomore Raycine Clarke attended St. Francois Girls College and is from Cocorite, while freshman Jamal Richards, from Arima, prepped at El Dorado Senior High School.

East Mississippi Community College has four student-athletes from Trinidad & Tobago. In fact, EMCC's soccer coach Junior Noel is also from Trinidad & Tobago.
