The No. 8-ranked Incarnate Word men’s soccer team played to a 2-2 tie against No. 13-ranked Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico, on Friday night.
With the score knotted at 2-2, both teams played hard through the two overtime periods, but couldn’t get a game-winner before time expired.
Thompson’s two strikes gave him five goals on the season, second-most on the team.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Sunday in Canyon against West Texas A&M University.
