Two second half goals from the home Patriots sent the Panthers to their fourth loss in their first five games with the 4-2 setback. Davenport got on the board first and the game was tied at halftime but two goals by UC's Daniel Avelar proved to be the difference. Avelar finished with a hat-trick in the game as DU falls to 1-4-0 on the year.

After a big 2-1 overtime victory on Friday against Ohio Dominican, the Panthers were unable to carry the momentum with them into another tough matchup on Saturday as they fell to the University of the Cumberlands 4-2 in Kentucky.

Davenport got on the board first when Damian Goncalves forced the keeper into a bad pass and the senior put it away to put the Panthers up 1-0.  After UC tied the game in the 28th minute, Davenport got back on top when Gerard John-Williams scored his first goal of the season on a corner kick from Ryan Duffy-McGirr.

When it looked like Davenport would take a 2-1 lead headed into halftime, the home team struck with just :53 seconds on the clock as the Patriots tied the score.

The momentum with the late goal seemed to carry the home team in the second half as they scored two unanswered goals in the final 45 minutes to post the 4-2 win.
