A HAT-TRICK by Stephen James saw Clark Rochard United power past Golconda United with a rousing 8-6 victory as the Barrackpore Football League continued last weekend.
Also netting for Clark Rochard was Rondell McKenzie (2), Anthony Gibbons (2), Shastri Mahraj (1). However, Golconda United put up major resistance and managed to net six in an exciting encounter.
Scoring for Golconda United was Dexter Franklyn (2), Ken Khan (2) and Junior Dyeth (2). This major upset-win saw 11th placed Clark Rochard (10 points) defeat fourth spot, Golconda United (20pts).
Third-placed St Charles United (24pts), kept their title hopes alive when they completed a crucial 3-1 win over Strange Ville United. Marcell Lee, Nigel Liverpool, Keston McDonald scored one each for the winning team. Vish Dass netted the loner for sixth place Strange Ville.
Fifth placed New Grant United (19pts) went down to seventh place Diamond United (17pts) 3-2. Krissy Dolly netted twice and Jodell Alexander scored once for Diamond United. Scoring twice for New Grant was Dennison Miguel.
Meanwhile, Real Unity SC 4 slammed four past AKA FC (4-2). Derek Alexander and Adrian Thomas scored twice for the winning team while Sterling Fletcher and Rudy Garcia netted one each for AKA FC.
