In addition to drawing the “Water Boys” to within a point of leaders and fellow utility company T&TEC, they avenged their 2–0 quarterfinal defeat at the hands of the Valsayn team in the knock-out tournament. Antoine, a former Valtrin player, secured the match’s lone item in the 36th minute as the host held on for the win. WASA has moved to 29 points from their 13 matches, however, they have played one more match than T&TEC. The “Electricity Boys” were on a bye.

Kevon Neaves scored a hat-trick to lead T&TEC to a comfortable 4-0 blow-out of Queen’s Park in a re-scheduled bmobile National Super League match at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Training Field, Mucurapo, on Wednesday. Neaves, a member of the Soca Warriors squad in the build-up to the 2006 Germany Fifa World Cup Finals netted in the 26th, 57th and 62nd minutes while Bevon Bass added the other seven minutes from full-tim as T&TEC extended its lead to seven points, over former champions WASA. Last year’s league winner, bmobile Joe Public is third with 19 points.
T&TEC blanks Sando
Fresh from claiming the knock-out title on Sunday, T&TEC continued from where they left off in the first round, easing past Club Sando 2-0 in their bmobile National Super League Match Day 12 fixture, at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, yesterday. Bevon Bass, who scored a double in the final against Valtrin on Sunday, continued his goal hunt with a strike in the 26th minute to give the “Electricity Boys” a 1-0 lead. The scoreline remained unchanged until the 61st minute when Tigana Sparks doubled the advantage, to seal the deal, 2-0. This marked T&TEC’s eight win in 11 matches, and also extended the knock-out champions unbeaten run this season.
