THE 2012 Blink/Bmobile National Super League title is in the balance after WASA FC were trounced by Defence Force while second-placed Westside Superstarzs FC gained a valuable three points when they defeated FC Santa Rosa in yesterday’s Match Day 21 action.

With the results, WASA now hold a three-point lead over Westside, with one round of matches remaining - December 9, where WASA will be hosting Santa Rosa and Westside will be visiting Real Maracas.

At the WASA Ground in St Joseph, WASA were spanked 3-0 by the inconsistent Defence Force, with Dave Long breaking the deadlock in the 63rd minute and Dillon Kirton getting a late double, in the 77th and 90th.

Westside rallied from a goal down to edge Santa Rosa 2-1 at the St Anthony’s College Ground, Westmoorings.

Jovan Rochford put the visitors ahead in the 55th but Westside responded with items from Troy Thompson (66th) and Kevon Piper (86th).

Joe Public, the dethroned champions, stayed in third after edging Eagles United 2-1 at the Homeland Gardens Recreation Ground, Cunupia. Ex-national striker Andre Toussaint (seventh and 43rd) scored twice for the winners while Bernard McCall pulled one back in the 88th.

Fourth-placed Stokely Vale FC got a hat-trick from Tyronne Manning (45th, 75th and 84th) to trounce cellar-placed Biche United 5-0 at the Plymouth Recreation Ground. Rohan Sebro (89th) and Shannon Sandy (90th) got the others for Stokely Vale.

Darren Mitchell (11th) and Delroy Fraser (32nd) were on target as 1976 FC Phoenix whipped Siparia Spurs 2-0 at Canaan, Bon Accord to jump from eighth to fifth. And Real Maracas pipped Club Sando 2-1 at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella. Sando benefitted with an own goal (28th) but Maracas replied with another own goal (72nd) and the winner from Pernell Schultz (81st).

A pair of rescheduled games will take place on Wednesday, with Stokely Vale hosting Maracas at Plymouth from 4 pm, and Joe Public entertaining Phoenix at the Marvin Lee Stadium from 4.30 pm.
