Last season’s champion WASA FC will begin its defense of the Blink/bmobile National Super League title when it faces Club Sando, at WASA Ground, St Joseph, in one of four Match Day One fixtures scheduled to play today.

All four matches will kick off at 4 pm. Two other matches, in the 13-team league have been rescheduled for Wednesday, when Match Day One concludes.

Today’s other fixture will see newly-promoted Guaya United face 2011/2012 treble winner and last season’s runner-up Joe Public FC at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.

Malabar FC, which also gained promotion this season as the second-best team in the Champions of Champions Super League qualifiers will face an away trip to last season’s league debutants FC Santa Rosa at YTC Ground, Arouca. And, at Maracas Recreation Ground, St Joseph, Real Maracas will host Siparia Spurs.

On Wednesday, Westside Superstarzs will be seeking to start the season well, as it did last year when it hosts Tobago’s 1976 FC Phoenix at St Anthony’s College Ground, Westmoorings, from 4 pm.

Simultaneously, Defence Force will be in Tobago to face Stokely Vale at Plymouth Recreation Ground.
