GUAYA UNITED and Club Sando will contest the knockout final in the 2013/2014 Blink/Bmobile National Super League on October 20, at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, from 5 pm.

In the semi-final double-header at Couva last Sunday, Guaya embarrassed Westside Superstarzs FC 5-0 while Sando edged FC Santa Rosa 2-1.

Guaya had an easy time against Superstarzs FC, with goals from Sherlon Campbell (second minute), Ryan Stewart (29th), Carlon Hughes (83rd), Desta Francis (85th) and Earlon Thomas (90th).

In the earlier semi, Sando went ahead through Ryan Fredericks after 11 minutes before Jason Hope equalised in the 40th. But Fredericks ensured the win for his team with a strike in the 60th.

The semi-finalists will all feature in the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) 2013-2014 FA Trophy competition.

Two other Super League teams will be eligible for places in the FA Trophy, with Defence Force taking one of those spots after defeating Real Maracas 4- 1, courtesy of kicks from the penalty mark, in a playoff contest on Sunday.

During regulation time at the Maracas Recreation Ground, Defence Force got strikes from Ronald St Louis (13th) and Jamal Goodridge (68th). Dillon Bartholomew was on target for Maracas, in the 30th and 35th.

The scheduled game between Malabar FC and Joe Public, which was originally carded for the UTT O’Meara campus in Arima, has been postponed to October 20 at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.
