Club Sando will go into today’s round of matches in the T&T Football Federation National Super League against Malabar FC at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva from 6 pm as new league leaders.

This after former national youth team midfielder Jack Weedon banged in a hat-trick to lead the Southern Football Association to a commanding 5-0 thrashing of host, Bethel United a Mt Gomery Recreation Ground, in one of four re-scheduled matches.

Weedon found the mark in the 32nd, 89th and 90th while another ex-national winger Kevon Nieves (35th) and Tobagonian Kevon Woodley (54th) got the other to carry the club to 22 points from nine matches, the same as WASA but with a superior goal-difference of plus-25 to the “Water Boys’” 18.

WASA will be away to seventh-placed Las Lomas at Madras Recreation Ground from 4 pm and in another key match, Guaya United, 3-0 winners over D’Lime Bar Goal City on Thursday and third with 18 points but from ten matches, host NLCB La Horquetta SA at Guaya Recreation. Ground, 3.30 pm.
