Real Maracas eased its relegation worries in the T&T Football Association National Super League after a 3-1 whipping of Bethel United in their Group B Relegation Big-Eight round-robin clash at Maracas Recreation Ground, St Joseph on Wednesday.

The win lifted Real Maracas to joint third on the table with Las Lomas, both on six points from four matches each while Santa Rosa leads with maximum nine points from three matches—two more than Goal City, which has played four.

Bethel stayed fifth with three points from as many matches, the same as Stokely Vale while Malabar FC is bottom of the table with a point.

At the end of the round-robin series, the bottom two clubs will join already relegated Joe Public as teams heading back to their respective zonal association competitions at the expense of the three teams to be promoted from the T&T Football Association “Champion of Champions” competition.

Meanwhile, in the Group A “Big Eight” competition, Club Sando will hope to continue its march to the crown when it travels to Petrotrin Palo Seco for a 3.30 pm meeting tomorrow.

Club Sando curently sits nicely at the top of the standings with maximum 15 points from five matches, five more than Spurs and Defence Force and can wrap up the title with a win and slip ups by both their rivals.

Spurs will be at home to WASA at Fyzabad Recreation Ground, while Defence Force will also be in the southland, as it goes to Guaya Recreation Ground to face Guaya United.
