WASA FC and National Lotteries Control Board La Horquetta SA battled to a goalless draw when matches in the CNG National Super League Premier Division continued at WASA Ground St Joseph on Sunday.

With the point earned, WASA joined idled 1976 FC Phoenix on 17 points from 11 and nine matches respectively, five behind leaders Guaya United while T&T Defence Force, which had its match against Phoenix postponed is second with 21 points from nine matches.

A further point behind is Siparia Spurs which also battled to a 1-1 draw with Stokely Vale while Bethel United is one of three teams on 15 points after a 2-1 defeat of Marabella Family Crisis Centre. Matches will resume on Sunday.

...Championship Division lead up for grabs

The quartet of T&T Prisons, Saddle Hill Hotspur, Queen’s Park Cricket Club and Cunupia FC will also be chasing top spot when matches in the Championship Division of the CNG National Super League kicks off today. As it stands, Prisons, Saddle Hill, QPCC and Cunupia are all locked in a four-way battle for top spot on the ten-team table with four points, one more than the duo of Malabar FC and Edinburgh 500, who will also both be in action.

Prisons which lead the table on goal-difference will travel to Edinburgh, QPCC is at home to Cunupia in the clash of the day while Saddle Hill entertains Malabar at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Training Field, Mucurapo. And in the days other match, Chaguanas and UTT, both without a win meet at New Settlement Ground, Chaguanas.
