Midfielder Kevin Molino, who wore the captain’s armband in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Grenada at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, will miss today’s friendly football international against Guyana, at the aforementioned venue, due to injury.

Today’s contest is expected to kick off at 7.30 pm.

According to a media release from the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA), Molino “picked up a knock in that game and it was decided he will sit out (today’s) encounter.”

TT coach Dennis Lawrence will also have to do without left-backs Kevon Villaroel and Mekeil Williams who are both nursing injuries.

However, striker Shahdon Winchester joined the team on Sunday, a day after representing his Mexican-based club Murcielagos FC in a 4-0 win over Atlante.

The Guyanese team, also known as the “Golden Jaguars” will include four TT Pro League players.

Striker Kelsey Benjamin recently made the headlines after scoring for Morvant Caledonia United against North East Stars in a FA Trophy encounter, while his clubmate Sheldon Holder, goalkeepers Akil Clarke (North East Stars) and Andrew Durant (San Juan Jabloteh) also ply their trade locally.

Former Joe Public FC forward Gregory “Jackie Chan” Richardson and ex Caledonia player Dwayne Jacob are also in coach Wayne Dover’s team while former North East Stars captain Charles Pollard will serve as Dover’s assistant.
