Preparations continue for the unofficial Tobago SSFL All-star female team as they await the arrival of and their match against Ecole Panorama Ridge Secondary School on Saturday 7th March at Courland Recreational Park.

Head Coach of the Tobago team Mr. Corbin Cooper expressed confidence in his charges ability to match the Canadians. “Tobago has always had female football talent. Many of the girls selected have trained with or represented Trinidad and Tobago at the U-15 and/or U-17 age groups."

"I’m expecting those players to lead by example on and off the pitch,” Mr. Cooper said during an interview on Monday 2nd March."

Leading the charge for the Tobago team will be former national youth players Tsianne Leander (Speyside High School) and Kristen Julien (Bishop’s High School).

Also included in the team are former U-17 call up Lakita Hall, 2014 National All-star selections Cherice Roberts Njemile Charles (all 3 attend Scarborough Secondary), Luvorn Robinson and Lloysha Simon (Mason Hall Secondary).

In an effort to expose as many female footballers as possible, assistant coach and organiser of the Tobago leg of Panorama Ridge’s tour, Mr. Richard Goddard, added Atlantic Primary Schools Female Athlete of the Year Nominee Gamelia Waldron (St. Andrews Anglican), Abiella Francis (Light and Life Foundation) and Denisha Manning (Bishop’s High) to the roster, with the players’ ages ranging between 12 and 14 years.

The final list includes all teams that took part in 2014 SSFL season (Harmon SDA was the only school omitted due to non-participation).
