Aaqila Virgil scored a handful of goals as Miracle Ministries Pentecostal High School romped to a 16-0 blow-out of Chaguanas West Secondary for their second straight win in the Secondary Schools Football League Girls Championship, Central Zone Division, on Monday.

Amiya Cumberbatch added to the goal rush with a beaver trick for Miracle Ministries in the lopsided contest which was played at Brickfield Recreation Ground, with Shre Dudley and Sydney Pollard scoring a brace each, while Kimberlyn Rampersad, Ayoka Mohammed, and Kyanna Isaac also found the back of the nets. With this win, they improved to a maximum of six points after also hammering Chaguanas North Secondary, 5-0 in their opener.

In Monday's other match, Chaguanas North Secondary rebounded from it's first-day loss by edging past Carapichaima East Secondary 2-1.

Over in Tobago, national Inter-Col champions, Signal Hill Secondary, continued the goal avalanche blasting 12 unanswered goals past a helpless Speyside High School, with Serenity Charles and Naomi Waldrop both scoring beaver tricks at their Bertille St Clair ground. Leia-Marie Balfour chipped in with two goals, with the two other strikes coming off the boots of Shedea Andrews and Skye Thomas.

In the other match played on our sister isle, J’Eleisha Alexander, the reigning “Most Valuable Player”, made it eight goals in her last two matches with a double as she pushed defending national SSFL Girls Championship Division title holders, Scarborough Secondary, to a 3-1 win over Bishop's High with Kaleah Duke also being on target, Gyasi Lewis netted Bishop's High's lone reply.
