MARVIN MARSHALL netted a double for Presentation to advance the two-time defending zonal Inter-Col champion team, to the final of the Central InterCol at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva yesterday.
Marshall goals came in the 15th and 52nd minutes to increase his tally for the season to 18 as Tabaquite fell 4-0.
Keon Paul got his name on the scoresheet with a goal in the 89th.
The other goal came from Tabaquite goalkeeper Anjell Garcia after the ball slipped through his hands to give Presentation its fourth goal.
Tabaquite failed to redeem itself after it was beaten 8-0 and 3-0 in preliminary league stage of the Secondary School Football League against Presentation.
The Presentation team was without one of its top marksmen, Anthony O’Garro, who has scored 16 goals for the season. He missed the semifinal having been showed the red card in his team’s “Big Five” quarterfinal loss to Scarborough Secondary two weeks ago.
Kevon George scored the lone goal to help Carapichaima Senior Comprehensive secure the other spot in the Central Inter-Col final against Presentation on Monday.
George’s netted in the 82nd minute as Carapichaima wrestle a 1-0 victory over debutant Marabella Junior Secondary.
The final is scheduled to begin at 4 pm.
