Rescheduled South Zone Fixtures Round up

St. Benedict's move to the top of the South Zone

In a rescheduled fixture at Penal Grounds,  St. Benedict's College were held to a 1-1 draw by Shiva Boys.

Although 'Benedicts' would feel as though they let two points slip, the draw was still enough to see them move to the top of the South Zone on 15 points.

Shiva Boys showed that they could never be counted out as an 87th minute Alfred John equalizer cancelled out 'Benedicts'  27th minute goal.

St. Benedict's College will next face high flying Presentation College San Fernando at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium on Wednesday 30th September.

Mid table Shiva Boys will travel to Princes Town on the same date.

Siparia edge Vessigny 2-1

The relegation battle is heating up in the South Zone as Siparia Secondary edged Vessigny 2-1 at Siparia Grounds in a rescheduled fixture.

Goals from Akeem John and Emmanuel Adams for Siparia made sure that Terece Marshall's item for Vessigny was not good enough.

The victory now moves Siparia off of the relegation spot above Vessigny on 5 points.

Next up for Vessigny is defending champions Naparima College at La Brea on Wednesday, while Siparia is on a bye.
