CARRON WILLIAMS notched a brace for St Clair Coaching School as they stopped Stokely Vale 2-0 in a top-of-the-table clash in the Digicel Tobago Football Association (TFA) league competition at Plymouth last Friday and took over the lead from the "Vale" on goal difference.

With a maximum of six matches to complete the two-round competition, Georgia are third in the standings with 28 points. They now have five games to go and can reach 43 if they win their remaining games.

Four different players put their names on the scoresheet for debutants Mason Hall who have 17 points and are fighting to stay in the Premier Division.

Goalscorers for tenth-placed Mason Hall were Keldon Baker, Kevon Adams, Akil Dennis and Stefano Wright, while Kerron Phillips grabbed a double and Malcolm Jack the other item for the champs.

In the feature game of the last round, Coaching School went into Stokely Vale's back yard and walked away with three vital points that put them level on 34 with the hosts from the identical number of games--16.

Both clubs have six more games to play and it could be a two-horse race to the finish line from here on in.

Antonio Balfour netted for previous leaders Stokely Vale, who are bidding for a double after winning the FA Cup earlier this season.

In other results, Castara Retreats Goal City handed Bethel United a 2-1 defeat in the first game in Plymouth on Friday to leave them second-to-last on the table and in danger of being relegated.

Roxborough Lakers remained in the drop zone following a similar 2-1 defeat to Hills United in the closing match at the DYS on Friday.

As a result, Lakers, Mason Hall USSS and Bethel United are locked in a battle to avoid demotion to the conference division with Federal Northside FC (ten points). All three clubs have 17 points.

At Speyside, one-time leaders and now fifth placed Earlbrokes counted their sixth point in ten matches after a 1-1 stalemate on the road at Sidey's FC.

Deon Thomas provided the item for Earlbrokes, who were victorious in their first six matches of the season but have gone cold since then. Pavel Warrick was the marksman for the hosts.
