The 2013 Northern Football Association (NFA) Premier Division will kick off today with four matches, a day before the reigning champion St Francois Nationals gets its first taste of action this season against Petit Valley United at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain. Today’s four matches and tomorrow’s three fixtures will all kick off at 3.30 pm.

In another enticing fixture on this weekend’s agenda, last season’s debutant and runner-up Football Factory and this season’s debutant Cantaro United will clash at the Brian Lara Recreation Ground, Santa Cruz.

This season 15 teams will compete for the title with the top team earning a place in the Champions of Champions competition, a qualification event for the National Super League, the country’s second-tier football league. The league season is set to conclude on December 15.
