Petit Valley United, led by a double from Donyo Pascall made a bright start to the Northern Football Association (NFA) Premier Division, on Sunday, when the club got past a ten-man defending champion St Francois Nationals 3-1, on Sunday.

Petit Valley made a strong surge to win the match after St Francois opened the scoring. Eric Charles got the other item for the match winner. St Francois ended the match minus a player after Earnest Edwards was sent off in the second half.

In other results, QPCC claimed the biggest win in the opening round, thrashing Port Celtic 6-1. Jerome Chalres bagged a double, while Benedtic Barret, Troy Thompson, Keegan Rattan and Vladimir Suite got QPCC’s other goals. Port Celtic scored a consolation with a spot kick late in the second half. Matches will continue today and tomorrow.
