Petrotrin Palo Seco stayed on course to complete the Cup double in the Southern Football Association when they blanked Siparia Spurs 2-0 in their Executive Cup quarterfinal at Siparia Recreation Ground on Sunday.

Jamal Ayres and Brent Garcia scored a goal each for Petrotrin Palo Seco in the win which set up a semifinal showdown next Thursday at Palo Seco Velodrome against Penal All Stars, which needed kicks from the penalty-spot to get past Valley Line United 6-2 after a 2-2 draw.

Jamal John and Curt Hamilton got the goals for Penal in regulation time while Keston Reviero and Vish Dass netted for Valley Line.

In next Thursday’s other Executive Cup semifinal, the University of T&T (UTT) comes up against Rangers.
