This six qualifiers for the Southern Football Association Petrotrin Super League Big Six competition were confirmed on the weekend after Pt Fortin Civic FC, Marabella Family Crisis Centre and Big Dreams all claimed their qualification in contrasting fashion.

In the Winston St Clair Group A seven-team league, Pt Fortin was hammered 4-0 by group winners Petrotrin Palo Seco, but still qualified in third spot with 22 points from 11 matches, four more than Siparia Spurs which ended on a high with a 5-1 whipping of Night Stars United.

For Petrotrin Palo Seco, which was coming off a win in the SFA League Cup final earlier in the week Jamal Ayres got a double and Kelvin Mark and Darren Alexis one apiece to end with 28 points, two more than Penal All Stars.

In the Roy Jagroopsingh Group B, Big Dreams and Marabella Family had already qualified earlier in the week to join group winner the University of T&T in the next phase of the tournament. And with their eyes set on the Big Six competition, Marabella defaulted to Big Dreams in their meeting.

At the top of the table is UTT with 33 points from 12 matches, five more than Marabella which has one match left, while Big Dreams is third with 25 and cannot be caught by fourth placed Union United which has 15 points and one match left.  Petrotrin Palo Seco is also through to the Executive Cup final against UTT.
