It took an overtime session, but the University of Charleston prevailed from a dominating performance when Dion Peters netted the contests only goal in the 103rd minute against regional opponent Bloomsburg.

After playing through regulation scoreless and without either squad putting a golden goal on the board in the first overtime session, Garrett Listo played a through ball up the middle of the defense. There, Dion Peters booted it into the back of the net at the 103:08 mark to end the contest.

The Golden Eagles controlled the offense for the match, totaling 21 shots with 10 being on goal, while limiting Bloomsburg to just four shots.

Sean Teepen played every second between the pipes for the shutout win, his fifth shutout of the season.

Charleston gets back on the field on the road against conference opponent Alderson-Broaddus at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
