CUMUTO STRIKE Force stayed unbeaten in Group A of the Premier Division of the Churches Football League.

 On August 16, in Week Five action, Cumuto edged Reformation Life Centre 1-0 with a goal by Chike Carrera. The other scheduled Group A Premier Division match featuring KOB Kings and Daybreak ended in a goalless draw at the Crown Street Recreational Ground. 

At Constantine Park in Macoya, Adrian Beharry scored twice as D’Abadie Deliverance Sanctuary trounced West End 6-1, in a Premier Division Group B fixture. 

Jereme Beepath, Robelto Mathura, Daniel Christmas and Raymond Pinder were the other goal-getters for D’Abadie, while Jeremiah Headley got the consolation for West End. 

Global Encounter Ministries got the better of Church on the Rock 1-0 in the other Premier Division Group B battle, with Jevon Simon netting the winner at Park Street Ground, Morvant. The largest margin of victory on the day saw Caribbean Nazarene College crush Father’s House 7-1, at the CNC Ground in Santa Cruz, in the First Division Group A. Nicholas Mayers notched a hat-trick, while Marc Isaacs and Julio Carimbocas each contributed two goals each. Jerod Taylor was the goal- scorer for Father’s House. 

Also in the group, Strictly FX A-Men FT rallied from a 2-0 deficit to earn a 3-2 victory over Divine Encounter Fellowship at the Prime Minister’s Park, Five Rivers, Arouca. 

Jameel Ford led the fightback with a double, while David Maloney got the other item for Strictly FX. Arnold Hackshaw and Keon Williams scored for Divine Encounter. 

In the First Division Group B, RCC and VPA Overcomers played to a 1-1 draw at the Aranguez Savannah, while the scheduled meeting of New Testament Warriors and Bethel FC was postponed.
