Laurell Theodore and Reanah Campbell scored first-half braces as the T&T Under-17 women’s team swamped Crown Trace FC 6-0 in their Girl Under-18 Division match in the 15th annual Carapichaima Youth Football Super League on the weekend.
Theodore netted in the 11th and 26th, and Campbell in the 32nd and 39th while Kelsey henry (36th) and Nia Honore (44th) added one each for the national team, for its third straight win from as many matches in the six-team competition.
Waterloo Starlets, kept pace with the table leaders after it got a double from former Under-17 national midfielder Zoe Swift to blank St Ann’s Rangers, 3-0. Anika Alfred added the other goal for Starlets which improved to six points from two matches, the same as Deigo Martin Central United which edged Jewel Sports Club thanks to Akilah Crawford’s 24th minute item.
Meanwhile, Trinicity Nationals, Cap Off Youths, Edinburgh 500 and Crown Trace are all through to today’s Under-20 Boys semifinals after convincing quarterfinals wins over St Marty’s United (2-0), Tunapuna Titans (6-0), Rio Claro ‘A’ (3-1) and Gasparillo Youths (5-2) respectively
In the semis match-up, Cap off Youths faces Edinburgh 500/Moruga FC winner, and Crown Trace tackles Trincity Nationals.
