FC MALONEY got the better of WASA 2-1 in a Round Ten encounter of the Premiership Division recently as the Eastern Football Association (EFA) League competition continued.
Kerron Clark broke the deadlock for Maloney after 36 minutes while Neaton Lewis widened the advantage in the 66th. Jason Rudder trimmed the deficit in the 82nd but Maloney held their nerve, and their lead, until the final whistle.
Joe Public earned a similar 2-1 victory, over Prisons FC, with Jason Cudjoe (14th) and Gyasi Joyce (76th) on target for Joe Public, while Larry Albert responded for Prisons in the 30th.
In a rescheduled encounter, Carib FC overcame Malabar FC 3-2. Curtis Andrews netted twice for Carib, in the 10th and 72nd minutes, while Kevin Davey scored in the 26th. Shandell Samuel (36th) and David Power (59th) replied for Malabar FC.
Also in the Premiership Division, Upper Santa Cruz were held to a goalless draw by FC Santa Rosa.
La Horquetta AC stayed atop the First Division after a high-scoring 5-3 triumph over La Horquetta XF in a Round Eight battle. Keston Jones (fifth and 78th) and Omuku Borrbou (36th and 67th) notched two goals apiece while Kern Robinson (88th) got the other for La Horquetta AC.
For La Horquetta XF, Anselm Jackson (36th), Neil Mitchell (66th) and Dashawn Waldropt (70th) got their names on the scoresheet.
Joachin Bastaldo scored a 40th minute winner as Pinto United edged Barataria Ball Players 1-0 while Tunapuna Titans crushed Creek SCC 5-0.
Tevin Mungo (26th and 80th) notched a double for Tunapuna while Tosca Bartholomew (fifth), Keishaun Bremnor (15th) and Anthony Willis (68th) contributed one apiece.
