Stokely Vale registered a comfortable 3-0 victory against their Tobago counterparts, 1976 Phoenix in the bmobile National Super League, Super Cup Knockout tournament, Tobago derby.

However, the final score did not do justice to the competitiveness of the encounter that was played at the Plymouth recreation ground before a large crowd.

Both keepers were tested early in the game which was evenly balanced and very aggressive but it was Stokely Vale who broke the dead-lock when Keshawn Joseph scored the first of his brace to give the 'Barric Boys' the lead.

Phoenix pressed for the equaliser but the score remained 1-0 in favour of Stokely Vale at the end of the first half.

Phoenix continued to press in the second half but just could not find the back of the nets as Stokely Vale desperately held on to the their one goal advantage though they too created some chances but could not convert.

However, against the run of play with ten minutes remaining they breathed a sigh of relief when prolific goal-scorer Dominic McDougal scored to give them a two-goal buffer and five minutes later Joseph completed his brace to seal the issue for the winners.

Stokely Vale now awaits the winner of WASA/Santa Rosa FC match for their semi-final engagement.
