Police FC Under-13’s ten-game winning stretch came to a halt last Sunday when they were held to a 2-2 draw by visiting Defence Force at the St. James Barracks outside field in Round Two Match Day Two action of the Flow Youth Pro League 2017.

Double-scorer Nathaniel Carrim rescued a point for the little Blues, who remained unbeaten at the summit of the U13 standings with 31 points, but only three points ahead of second-place San Juan Jabloteh who edged W Connection 1-0 courtesy a 65th-minute Nathaniel James strike—his sixteenth goal of the season.

Carrim had given Police a 17th-minute lead which was overturned by Defence Force through a double from Darion Marfan, who netted in the 18th and 38th minutes. But Carrim had the last say pulling Police level in the 61st minute.

Police also had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Defence Force in the Under-15 division. Mathias Hinkson’s 72nd-minute item levelled the game after Defence Force’s Jasiel Edwards had the visitors ahead on 33 minutes.

Defence Force weren’t done there. Their Under-17 side also grabbed a point on the day, only their second of the season and remains bottom of the table, by holding Police to a 2-2 draw.

Ojorie Kanneth had Defence Force ahead in the first minute of play, but his side needed a Shaquem Bleasdell equaliser 20 minutes from time to avoid a tenth defeat of the season after Jabari Boyce (34th minute) had levelled Police and Zion Mc Leod (51st minute) put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot.

Also in the U17 category, W Connection held leaders San Juan Jabloteh to a 2-2 draw on Saturday but had to settle for slipping into third after North East Stars wrapped up their Sunday visit at the Mahaica Oval in Point Fortin with a 4-0 win over hosts Point Fortin Civic.

Jaydon Prowell scored twice for the North East Stars U17s while Keyon Boney and John-Paul Rochford had a goal each to complete the trifecta for North East Stars who earlier defeated Civic 3-0 and 1-0 in the U13 and U15 divisions.

Elsewhere, Kesean St. Rose scored on the hour mark to give St. Ann’s Rangers a narrow 1-0 win over Club Sando in the U17 division at St. Augustine Secondary School.

Rangers had also defeated Club Sando 4-0 in the U15 division with a hat-trick from Keron Manswell and an opening item from Darius Douglas.

Sando, though, had the first victory of the day, defeating Rangers 2-0 with a double from Darion Marfan.
