Omarley James scored a second straight double as Signal Hill hammered Bishop’s High 5-0 on Wednesday to move to within one point of claiming the Tobago Zone BG T&T/First Citizens Secondary Football League Championship Division crown and a “Big-Five” spot.
Tomorrow, Signal Hill will need only a draw to lift the title, while Scarborough must win to claim the crown on goal-difference. The winner of the Tobago Zone will complete the quintet of zonal champions to contest the Championship Division “Big-Five” competition from which the top three teams will be promoted to the Premier Division next year.
Today, the “Big-Five” will kick off with Central Zone champions, Chaguanas North hosting North Zone winners East Mucurapo while East Zone champs, Five Rivers entertains Pleasantville, the South Zone winners at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar, both from 3.30 pm.
